The Test Devices
As part of the Telekom Fashion Fusion Challenge and in cooperation with the Lufthansa FlyingLab, Natalie Peter presented a prototype of the Feeflight blanket on the FlyingLab flight to the CES in January to the increase the well-being of passengers on long-haul flights.
In a subsequent phase, she evolved the passenger blanket to the stage of a functional prototype optimized for production to test now on this specific flight to Boston.
The rectangular piece of fabric is transformed into a cape that the passenger can "carry". Another specific design element is that only natural materials have been used to increase the well-being of the passenger in many ways. In addition, the lightweight fabric was provided with further functions such as individually tempered zones which allows the passengers to define their personal comfort. Embedded inside the neck pillow of the blanket is also a silent alarm function integrated, which wakes up the passenger with gentle impulses. Thus, the passenger can adjust his sleep rhythm to the new time zone and define his own comfort temperature via a graphical interface on his own device.
